This role is initially a temporary contract position with the view to go permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an Australian owned and managed company, specialising in valves. In this role you can utilise your experience in Sales / Customer Service and add value to a well-established company and become an integral team member.
Key Purpose:
As a member of the internal sales department, you will be responsible for effectively communicating with customers, providing technical support and facilitating the sizing and sale of safety and relief valves. This role requires a keen understanding of customer needs, technical expertise, and the ability to work harmoniously within a close-knit team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers via phone, email, and occasionally in-person.
- Work closely with the sales team to generate quotes, process orders, and ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to customers regarding safety and relief valves.
- Manage customer communications, track sales leads, and maintain accurate records.
- Remain up to date on product offerings, industry trends, and safety.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer inquiries and ensure the best possible solutions are provided.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of sales materials, product catalogues, and technical documentation.
About you:
- Relevant Fitter-Turner background and/or Engineering qualification (ideally but not essential)
- Must be able to understand technical aspects of process engineering
- Knowledge or experience with valves highly desirable
- Well-developed written and verbal communication.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Word/Outlook).
- Previous experience in sales, customer service or technical support is preferred.
- Quick learner with ability to grasp technical concepts related to safety and relief valves.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage customer inquiries, orders, and documentation.
- Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively in a small team setting.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and familiarity with relief valve terminology advantageous.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Driver licence.
Hourly Rate : $32 – $35 (depending on experience) plus Super
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm
